Toyota Urban Cruiser － Go find your fun with the ALL new SUV from Toyota
Toyota will start the sales of the Urban Cruiser, a new compact SUV model, launching from February in Africa.
The Positioning
The Urban Cruiser, newly added to Toyota’s model lineup meets the growing needs for SUVs in the African market. Built to be a fun, affordable and compact cross-over vehicle, the Urban Cruiser has been designed to play in the city during the week, while taking you on your next adventure over weekends.
Exterior Design
The Urban Cruiser features rugged-urban-styling complete with a raised stance, textured side and wheel-arch moldings. The front features a large radiator grille along two horizontal slats with Toyota insignia, chrome accent strips and LED projector headlamps.
The side profile continues the ‘squared-off’ look, with short overhangs that are further accentuated by the black wheel moldings flowing into the lower bumper sections.
Moving to the rear, large rectangular taillights are complimented by a large tailgate garnish embossed with Urban Cruiser.
Interior Design
The key characteristics of the interior design is to offer a comfortable space with excellent ergonomics and great exterior visibility.
The seats are black fabric and the rest of the interior is finished off in hard-wearing black. Large door pockets provide convenient storage spaces.
Engine & Performance
The Urban Cruiser is powered by 1.5 liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine delivering 77kW and 138 Nm.
Two transmission choices are on offer, a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic, country dependent.
Safety & Security
The safety and security specs include ABS, EBD, side protection beams, driver and passenger airbags and ISOFIX. An alarm and immobilizer system are also included in all models.

As ONE TEAM, Toyota Family supported the “Tanzania Koshien"
Toyota / Toyota Tsusho / Toyota Tanzania Ltd. jointly supported the baseball tournament held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Koshien is a widely known baseball tournament in Japan, and it was brought to Tanzania aiming to produce a future Olympian.
The event was once threatened under COVID-19, but with the supported Toyota Logo T-shirts, towels (etc.)
Toyota was able to save the smiles of the youth baseball players.

Toyota Uganda received a visit from UNHCR
Toyota Uganda received a visit of Ms. Takashima from UNHCR on December 15th 2020, with regard to the support for UNHCR from Toyota Tsusho.
Toyota Tsusho decided to support UNHCR, sympathizing with their philosophy to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for people forced to flee their homes because of conflict and persecution.
This support includes in-kind contribution of spare parts and face shields to UNHCR Representations in Cameroon, Chad, DRC, Ethiopia, Kenya, Niger, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
